New this year, there will be an Expo in the Center of Progress Building from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

CNY Veterans Parade and Expo Performance Schedule

11 a.m. Baldwinsville Community Band Performing in Center of Progess Building
Noon CNY Veterans Parade Starting near the Indian Village, around Chevy Court and ending behind Center of Progress Building
1:30 p.m. "Thanking our Troops" Ceremony hosted by Fort Drum Performing in Center of Progess Building
2:15 p.m. West Point Drill Team Performing in Center of Progess Building


ADMISSION TO THE EXPO IS FREE!!!

The Expo will feature military and veterans themed kiosks, featuring many hands-on exhibits and informational displays such as:
  • Fort Drum and the 10th Mountain Division will have a strong presence at this event, displaying many of their troops, vehicles and information about the Army.
  • Panels from the NYS Museum’s collection on "Civilian Soldiers" featuring information WWII.
  • Actors from the Onondaga Historical Association portraying local residents during war time.
  • Information and collection of goods to send to troops overseas will be at the kiosk hosted by Adopt-A-US Soldier
  • Many other hands-on exhibits, activities and information provided by the VA Hospital, Syracuse Marine Parents, Gillette Road Military Support Group, Syracuse Cadet Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, local colleges, other branches of the military and veterans organizations.

There will be a special Kids Activity area with Bouncy Houses, card making activities, a flight simulator and even a special paint-ball gun arena!

The Expo will feature performances by the Baldwinsville Community Band and the West Point Drill Team.

There will be a special ceremony thanking our veterans for their service.

Adopt-A-US Soldier will be collecting good to send to Marines in the 3/6 Battalion overseas will be at the kiosk hosted by Adopt-A-US Soldier:
